Cara Junior School is a school for children with ASD and an Intellectual Disability between the mild to moderate range for pupils aged 4 to 12 years old

We currently have a position for a bus escort 2021-2022 school year. We will require relief escorts to be from the Youghal area as this is where the route starts and finishes each day.

The escort will accompany pupils on a bus from their home to and from Cara Junior School in Mayfield each day. The escort must be available in the mornings and afternoons, 5 days per week.

The escort is responsible for the safety of the child on board the bus/taxi and will be required to provide pupil care needs including but not limited to assisting the child getting on and off the bus, securing appropriate seat belts etc. Relevant experience would be highly desirable.

Appointment is subject to Garda vetting and appropriate character references.
